Learning experience: Balaji Ranganathan...

Reflective blog: Teaching of Prof. Balaji Ranganathan... On  14 to 16 September, 2018; We have attended three days guest lectures by Prof. Balaji Ranganathan Sir at our Department of English about Postcolonial study. In these three days, he has covered all four units:- i) Black Skin White Mask ii) Orientalism by Edward Said iii) A Tempest iv) Imaginary Homeland Balaji Sir get disappointment from all of us.. because he had expectation from all the students that we might reading original texts but in reality not even a single student raise thier hand about reading the original text... That time we felt shame because Sir is coming from far away for teaching to us. But what can we do in this  semester system??? we don't have enough time to read original text. Sir forced that we have to read original  text first, not read the  summary for further study. But it's not possible to read all original books...  # On the very 1st Day,

Thinking Activity: Waiting For Godot by Samuel Beckett... *Hello readers, On 27th September 2018 we had a movie screening of "Waiting For Godot". It's written by Samuel Beckett. On the 19 to 22  September, Dr. Dilip Barad Sir organized guest lecture by Dr. Jay Mehta at our Department of English MKBU for 4 days.But, Dr. Jay Mehta is not a guest, he is also a shining star of our English Department MKBU. Jay Sir, said He was a still learner..His style of teaching just amazing, it catches the attention of every student of the class. Here, I want to share my experience of learning under Dr.Jay Maheta.. Basically his subject was Edger Allen’s Short story, which is totally different from Poetic. But, he teach us Poe with use of  poetup language by given various examples of poems.  "The theories we believe, we call them facts and the facts we disbelieve, we call them theories." Interpretation Challenge: Breath: The Shortest Play by Samuel Beckett... ###Breath - a Play........ Breath is a play written by Samuel Beckett in the 1969. It considered as a smallest play ever written. It is only about 30 second play. It also considered as experimental play. This play can be interpretated many ways. The play consider as absurd play. Here I tried to interpretate play. ###Script of the Play:- CURTAIN Up___ 1. Faint light on stage littered with miscellaneous rubbish. Hold about five seconds. 2. Faint brief cry and immediately inspiration and slow increase of light together reaching maximum - together in about ten seconds. Silence and hold for about five seconds. 3. Expiration and slow decrease of light together reaching minimum together (light as in 1) in about ten seconds and immediately cry as before. Silence and hold about five seconds.
