On the Sunday, 9th September 2018, we watched two movies, the first one is Midnight's Children and the  second was "The Reluctant Fundamentalist"(A Novel written by Mohsin Hamid) directed by Mira Nair. On Sunday, 9th September 2018, we had film screening of the two films first was "Midnight's Children" [Novel written by Salman Rushdie] directed by Deepa Mehta  So, my task to give review of these film with the perspectives of The Postcolonial Studies. ° Midnight's Children:- Salman Rushdie's novel, "Midnight's children" was well appraised by readers, having won the Booker Prize and the Best of the Booker prize but also much criticized, especially from political leaders. One of them, the famous Indira Gandhi actually sued Rushdie for one sentence, which depicted her as guilty for her husband's death. The political leader won and the sentence was removed. Movie review of Lagaan: Once upon a time in India..... 15th August 2018, Bhavnagar... Department of English has organised the Movie screening of Lagaan.. I was not able to seen the movie at department but I saw at home..I love to watch movies for entertainment... Or I can say, I m watching all the movie for time pass.. But,when I entered into Department of English I watched movies for  blog writing or as a part of my syllabus.. Lagaan was directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, produced by Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan, and written by Ashutosh Gowariker and Abbas Tyrewala. The film is set in the Victorian period of India's colonial British Raj. The film was shot in an ancient village near Bhuj, India.
