Academic blog: Youth Festival
Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University has celebrated the Aishwaryam youth festival of three days 26th, 27th, and 28th October.
This whole festival of three days is hosted by Takshashila institute of commerce and Science collage. The whole university was spangling with lights. This festival is for young generation; they show their talents through various competitions. In which they include every type of talents like writing, singing, dancing, drawing, acting, playing instruments and many things.
I have attended only one event of One act play.. I have watch two plays at Atal Auditorium Bhavnagar...
1) I don't remember name of the play but it's based on "Bruhad Samhita"
One act play is the major event in literary part of Youth Festivals. In the present Youth Festival many colleges came with unique concept. I have watched only two - one act play, the first one is based on "Bruhad Samhita", it was very interesting play and very well acted.. I don't know from which college, they are belong to but it was very well performed..
2)"સિક્કાની ત્રીજી બાજુ"
Our "Department of English's" students also participated in one act play. It was named, "સિક્કાની ત્રીજી બાજુ"(third side of a coin) in which I find today's generation. It was about third gender.
It Includes the society and the dilemma and misery of third gender. In the play family or even father don’t want his baby who is eunuch.
The mother struggles and fight for equal right of the baby and she win. These types of play shows mirror to our society and also gives message to change the stereotypes. The performance was very Good.
*But some audience is mannersless, they are making so much noise,by doing this they are disturbing all the audience. By avoiding them, all participants are performed very well...
Thank You...
